The Warangal police have initiated a probe into the death of a 21-year-old woman in Rayaparthi mandal following allegations of gang rape and murder. Family members of the deceased, hailing from AK Thanda, staged a massive protest on a national highway after accusing four local youths of the crime.

Allegations of Assault and Hanging

The victim's family claimed that four residents of Ravuru Thanda, known to the woman, lured her to a maize field on the night of the incident. They alleged that the suspects, reportedly under the influence of ganja, gang-raped the woman before shifting her back to her residence.

According to the victim's mother, the accused allegedly used a saree to hang her from a ceiling fan hook to stage it as a suicide. The family contends that the youths frequently abused narcotics and acted with premeditated intent.

Protest on National Highway

Tensions escalated outside the local mortuary as relatives refused to permit a post-mortem examination. Protesters blocked the national highway, demanding the immediate arrest of the suspects based on the victim’s mobile phone call records.

Warangal police probe gang rape allegations after woman dies as the family continues to express anger over perceived administrative negligence. They have accused the local police of failing to act promptly despite a formal complaint being lodged earlier.

Administrative Response and Deadlock

Senior police officials reached the protest site to pacify the agitators and restore traffic flow on the highway. The department has assured a thorough investigation into the call data records and technical evidence to identify the suspects involved.

The standoff continues as the family remains firm on their demand for justice before the body is released for autopsy. Police have stepped up vigil in Rayaparthi mandal to prevent any further law and order complications.
