Kadapa police conduct search after three youths drown during film shoot

A tragic incident was reported in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh, where three youths drowned while shooting a short film. The accident occurred near the Penna river in the limits of Pushpagiri village in Vallur mandal.

The group, comprising eight youths from Kadapa, Annamayya and Chittoor districts, had come together after connecting through Instagram. They shared an interest in short films and had planned to collaborate on shooting projects.

Accident claims three lives
During the shoot, three members of the group accidentally slipped into the river and drowned. The incident disrupted the activity and led to immediate panic among others present at the location.

Police teams reached the spot and initiated search operations in the river. Two bodies, identified as Haribabu (25) and Harshavardhan (22), were recovered during the initial efforts.

Search operation continues for missing युवक
Authorities continued search operations to trace the third युवक, Krishna Chaitanya, who remained missing at the time of reporting. Rescue teams were deployed to scan the river stretch for further recovery.

The police have taken up the case and are monitoring the situation as the search progresses. Details regarding the exact sequence of events leading to the drowning are yet to be formally established.
