Telangana Government Orders Reinstatement Of Jagtial RTC Driver Ashok

The Government of Telangana has directed officials to reinstate Jagtial RTC driver Ashok after his removal from service triggered widespread discussion on social media platforms. The latest update came after criticism from opposition supporters and public reactions over the disciplinary action taken against the driver.

State minister Ponnam Prabhakar stated that instructions had been issued to take RTC driver Ashok back into duty. The development followed controversy surrounding the removal order issued by local transport authorities.

According to the minister, the removal letter was reportedly issued in haste based on a complaint submitted by a local Congress leader. The issue gained significant traction online, especially after BRS social media supporters strongly criticised the government’s handling of the matter.

RTC Driver Ashok Reinstatement Ordered After Review

Ponnam Prabhakar said local officials acted quickly while processing the complaint and issued the removal letter without sufficient review. Following the backlash and internal assessment, the government decided to reverse the action.

The minister also stated that instructions were given to transfer the depot manager who allegedly issued the removal order in a hurried manner. According to his statement, the depot manager would be shifted to another depot.

The RTC driver issue soon turned into a political flashpoint, with opposition groups accusing the Congress government of unfair treatment towards employees and misuse of administrative authority.

Social Media Pressure Intensifies Political Debate

The latest update sparked intense political discussion across Telangana, with social media platforms witnessing heavy reactions from both Congress and BRS supporters. Political observers noted that the controversy quickly escalated beyond a local transport department matter.

While no police investigation or case registered details were linked to the issue, the controversy drew attention because of the speed at which the disciplinary action was reportedly taken and later reversed.

Officials have not yet released a detailed official statement regarding the internal review process followed before the removal letter was issued to the RTC driver.

The Telangana government’s decision to reinstate RTC driver Ashok is being viewed as an attempt to contain political criticism and public backlash generated online.

The Jagtial RTC driver controversy continues to remain a talking point in Telangana political circles, with discussions focusing on administrative accountability, social media influence and disciplinary procedures within government departments.
