Telangana Panchayat Raj Department Releases List of 124 Vacant MPDO Posts
The Telangana MPDO vacancies issue has come into focus after the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department released district-wise details of vacant Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDO) posts across the state. The latest update shows that a total of 124 MPDO posts remain vacant in Multi Zone-I and Multi Zone-II regions.
The vacancy list provides a clearer picture of staffing gaps in several districts and is expected to be useful for administrative planning and future recruitment decisions. The department released the district-wise and mandal-wise details through senior officials.
Telangana MPDO Vacancies District-Wise Details Released
According to the official statement issued by the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department, the state government has identified 124 vacant MPDO posts spread across multiple districts under the two multi-zone jurisdictions.
Among the districts, Nalgonda reported the highest number of vacancies with nine MPDO posts lying vacant. Kamareddy, Siddipet, and Komaram Bheem Asifabad each recorded seven vacancies. Ranga Reddy and Nirmal districts reported six vacant posts each.
The vacancy data highlights the extent of administrative gaps at the mandal level, where MPDOs play a key role in implementing rural development programmes and coordinating local governance activities.
Multi Zone-I Districts Covered Under Vacancy List
The department stated that Multi Zone-I includes districts such as Adilabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Hanamkonda, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Khammam, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mahabubabad, Mancherial, Medak, Mulugu, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sircilla and Siddipet.
Vacant MPDO posts have been identified across several mandals within these districts. Officials released the complete district-wise and mandal-wise vacancy list as part of the latest update.
Multi Zone-II Districts Also Report Vacancies
The vacancy report also covers districts falling under Multi Zone-II. These include Jangaon, Mahabubnagar, Jogulamba Gadwal, Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet, Wanaparthy, Sangareddy, Ranga Reddy, Vikarabad, Nalgonda, Suryapet and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri.
Authorities said the vacancies have been officially documented and shared through the department's release. While no recruitment announcement has been made alongside the list, the publication of vacancy details provides important administrative data for the government and local bodies.
