Telangana Government Approves EV Charging Stations Through PACS Network
The Government of Telangana has initiated plans to expand electric vehicle infrastructure in rural areas by setting up EV charging stations through Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS). The latest update comes as electric vehicle usage continues to increase steadily across villages and semi-urban regions in the state.
According to official planning details, the government has decided to establish EV charging stations at 35 locations in the first phase. The project is being taken up with an estimated expenditure of around Rs.20 lakh.
Officials believe the initiative could help improve charging accessibility in rural areas where electric vehicle users currently face limited infrastructure support. The move is also expected to encourage wider EV adoption outside major cities.
