Telangana ACB Registers Disproportionate Assets Case Against Excise Inspector
The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau has registered a case against an Excise Inspector for having assets that are not proportionate to his income. The Anti-Corruption Bureau carried out searches. Found assets and cash worth a lot of money, eighty-seven lakh forty-four thousand rupees to be exact, during the operation.

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau searched the Excise Inspector's house in Jagtial. The Excise Inspector, Gundeti Ramu, who's forty two years old and works in Karimnagar, has been accused of having assets that he cannot afford with his salary. The Anti-Corruption Bureau says that Gundeti Ramu got rich by doing things while he was working as an Excise Inspector.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau also said that Gundeti Ramu used to work in Vemulawada. A case was registered against him on June 24. The Anti-Corruption Bureau had already registered a case against him on March 17 for doing something
The Anti-Corruption Bureau searched his rented house in Bhavani Nagar, Jagtial. Found a lot of cash, twenty lakh sixty-seven thousand eight hundred fifty rupees. The Anti-Corruption Bureau also found out that Gundeti Ramu had a lot of money in his bank account, twenty-nine lakh eighty-eight thousand three hundred seventeen rupees in the State Bank of India and sixteen lakh seventy-seven thousand nine hundred seventy eight rupees in the Union Bank of India, which is in his father's name.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau also found valuable things worth eleven lakh ninety-seven thousand rupees. They found papers for a plot of land in Karimnagar worth six lakh five thousand rupees and a commercial land in Sircilla worth two lakh eighteen thousand four hundred eighty-four rupees.
The total value of the assets found is eighty-seven lakh forty-four thousand six hundred twenty-nine rupees. The Anti-Corruption Bureau says that the actual value of the land and other assets could be much higher than what's written in the papers.
The police are still investigating the Excise Inspector, Gundeti Ramu, and the Anti-Corruption Bureau says that it seems like he got rich by misusing his power.
