According to details, three students from a private school — Shashidhar (14) from PV Colony, Giridhar (14) from Aswapuram mandal, and Harshavardhan (14) from Adarshanagar, Manuguru — went to Regula Gandi tank after school hours.

While the three students were bathing in the tank, Harshavardhan reportedly went missing in the water. The other two students were unable to trace him, following which the incident came to light.
Local police were alerted, and teams were deployed to the spot to initiate search operations in the tank area.

Circle Inspector Nagababu reached the location and supervised the search efforts. Police personnel began combing the water body to locate the missing student.
