Screenwriters Association Awards Honour Aryan Khan Netflix Debut Series
The Screenwriters Association Awards recognised Aryan Khan’s Netflix debut series “The Ba***ds Of Bollywood” as one of the major winners during the 7th edition of the event held in Mumbai. The Screenwriters Association Awards also saw Vikramaditya Motwane’s “Black Warrant” secure multiple honours across web categories.
The latest update from the awards ceremony highlighted several achievements in film, television, and web storytelling for projects released in 2025. Industry veterans, filmmakers, writers, and creators attended the event celebrating screenplay, dialogue, story writing, and lyrics across multiple formats.
Aryan Khan Netflix Debut Wins Multiple Screenwriters Association Awards
Aryan Khan’s directorial debut “The Ba***ds Of Bollywood”, released on Netflix in 2025, won the Web Comedy/Musical/Romance – Best Screenplay award. The honour was shared by Aryan Khan, Bilal Siddiqi, and Manav Chauhan.
The series also received the Web Comedy/Musical/Romance – Best Dialogue award, which went to Aryan Khan. The recognition marked a major achievement for Khan’s first project as a director and writer in the streaming space.
Vikramaditya Motwane’s “Black Warrant”, featuring Zahan Kapoor, also emerged among the top winners at the Screenwriters Association Awards. The project secured the Web Drama – Best Screenplay award for Satyanshu Singh and Arkesh Ajay.
Black Warrant And Other Projects Secure Major Honours
Writer Anvita Dutt received the TV/Web – Best Lyrics award for the song “Naseeba” from “Black Warrant”. Filmmaker Aranya Sahay won the Best Debut honour for the film “Humans in the Loop”.
In the Web Drama – Best Story category, Smita Singh won for “Khauf”. The screenplay award in the same category went to Sudip Sharma, Abhishek Banerjee, Rahul Kanojia, and Tamal for “Paatal Lok – Season 2”.
Other winners included Rajesh Joshi and Shabia Walia for “Pushpa Impossible” in the Television – Best Story category. Harneet Singh secured the Television – Best Screenplay award for “Itti Si Khushi”.
Chirag Garg and Avinash Dwivedi won the Web Comedy/Musical/Romance – Best Story award for “Dupahiya”. Veteran lyricist Gulzar received the Film – Best Lyrics award for “Hum Fanaa” from “Gustaakh Ishq”.
Film Industry Figures Attend Mumbai Awards Ceremony
The Screenwriters Association Awards ceremony witnessed the presence of several leading filmmakers and industry personalities. Attendees included Sooraj Barjatya, Sriram Raghavan, Shoojit Sircar, Ashutosh Gowariker, and Sujoy Ghosh among others.
