Sangareddy Police Probe Murder-Suicide Over Bike Demand Dispute
A murder-suicide case has come to light in Telangana's Sangareddy district, where a young man allegedly killed his wife following a domestic dispute linked to a bike demand before ending his own life. The incident has triggered a police investigation, with authorities examining the circumstances that led to the tragedy.
According to incident details, the deceased husband was identified as Dasari Anjaiah (25), a resident of Marepalli village in Kondapur mandal. He had married Yadamma (20), a resident of Sanjeevraopeta in Narayankhed mandal, around 11 months ago.
Murder-Suicide Case Reported in Sangareddy District
After the marriage, the couple reportedly lived near Marepalli, where Anjaiah had taken a mango orchard on lease. Local reports indicate that he had developed a drinking habit and frequently argued with his wife over a demand that her family purchase a motorcycle for him.
The dispute is said to have continued for several months, leading to repeated tensions within the household. On Friday, another argument reportedly broke out between the couple over the same issue.
During the altercation, Anjaiah allegedly attacked Yadamma and strangled her using a scarf inside their residence. The woman died at the scene, according to preliminary information.
Police Investigation Into Domestic Dispute
Following the alleged murder, Anjaiah reportedly feared arrest and imprisonment. Soon after the incident, he is believed to have gone to a nearby area and died by suicide by hanging himself from a mango tree located a short distance from the house.
Local residents later discovered the bodies and alerted authorities. Police reached the spot and initiated the necessary legal procedures.
Officials have registered a case and launched a detailed police investigation into the murder-suicide incident. The bodies were shifted for post-mortem examination as part of the inquiry.
Police are gathering statements and examining all available evidence to establish the sequence of events leading to the deaths. An official statement on the final findings is expected after the investigation is completed.
The latest update in the case suggests that the domestic dispute over the motorcycle demand was a key factor behind the incident. Authorities have registered the case and are continuing their investigation into the matter.
