Sangareddy Police Probe Kondapur Station Drinking Incident Involving Head Constable
A late-night incident inside the Telangana Police station at Kondapur in Sangareddy district has triggered a police investigation after a head constable was allegedly found consuming alcohol with an accused person inside the police station premises. According to incident details, a dispute had reportedly taken place between two families belonging to Kondapur mandal centre. The conflict involved individuals identified as Firoz and Ismail. Following the altercation, Ismail approached the Kondapur Police Station and submitted a written complaint against Firoz.
Head Constable Accused Of Drinking With Suspect
Instead of proceeding with formal questioning, Head Constable Pandari allegedly allowed the accused to remain inside the station and later consumed alcohol along with him during night duty hours. The alleged misconduct reportedly took place inside the police station itself.
The matter came to light after complainant Ismail returned to the station to enquire about the status of his complaint. On reaching the premises, he allegedly found the head constable and the accused engaged in a drinking session.
Sources said Ismail questioned the officer over the conduct and recorded the visuals on his mobile phone. The video reportedly captured the incident inside the station premises and was later brought to the notice of higher authorities.
Police Investigation Ordered After Dial 100 Alert
After witnessing the situation, Ismail reportedly contacted Dial 100 and informed senior officials about the incident. The complaint led to immediate action from district police authorities.
Following instructions from higher officials, Sangareddy DSP Sattaiah Goud reached the Kondapur Police Station during the night and conducted an inspection. Officials reportedly examined the station premises and spoke to the complainant as well as police personnel present at the location.
The latest update from the police department indicates that a departmental inquiry has been initiated against the head constable over alleged violation of duty norms and misconduct inside the station.
