Madhya Pradesh police have launched a search operation for a man who allegedly stabbed his wife to death following a dispute over mobile phone passwords. The incident occurred in the Rewa district, where the confrontation turned violent in the presence of the couple's three children.
Dispute Over Mobile Access
The accused, identified as Deepak Mishra, reportedly engaged in a heated argument with his wife, Shikha Mishra. According to local reports, the conflict escalated when Shikha refused to share her mobile phone password with her husband.
Simultaneously, Shikha had requested the password to Deepak’s device, which further incensed him. In a fit of rage, Deepak Mishra allegedly attacked his wife with a knife kept in the house, inflicting multiple stab wounds.
Fatal Injuries and Police Action
The assault took place in full view of the couple's children, who witnessed their father attacking their mother. Shikha Mishra sustained critical injuries during the struggle and was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency medical intervention.
Despite efforts by medical professionals, she succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment. Following the attack, Deepak Mishra fled the scene and remains at large. Rewa police have registered a case and formed teams to apprehend the suspect.
