A tragic drowning incident was reported at Polluru Waterfall under the Motugudem Police Station limits in Chintoor mandal, leaving a college student dead during a leisure trip with friends. According to incident details shared by Motugudem Sub-Inspector Abdul Nassir Hussain, five students studying at Rajamahendravaram Guide College had travelled to Polluru Waterfall for an outing. During the visit, one of the students, identified as M. Moses, aged 21, reportedly slipped into deep water and drowned.

The deceased student was a native of Bhadrachalam in Telangana. Police officials said the group had reached the waterfall area as part of a recreational trip when the accident occurred.
