Collision with water tanker turns fatal
A road accident on the Outer Ring Road near Ghatkesar resulted in the death of a man and his two-and-a-half-year-old son after their car rammed into a tanker engaged in watering roadside trees. The incident occurred when the vehicle climbed onto the ORR and reached near Pedda Amberpet.
The impact left the front portion of the car completely crushed, leading to the instantaneous death of Katanguri Veda Prakash Reddy (37) and his son Arjun at the scene.
Family returning to Bengaluru after festival
According to available details, Veda Prakash Reddy, a native of Hanamkonda district centre, was working as a software employee and residing in Bengaluru with his family. He had travelled to Hanamkonda on Sunday to attend a religious festival.
On Tuesday, he began his return journey to Bengaluru along with his wife Hima Bindu, son Arjun, cousin brother Durga Prasad Reddy, and his wife Srija. The accident took place during this return trip.
Three others sustain critical injuries
Police said that the remaining three occupants in the car sustained severe injuries in the crash. Their condition was reported to be critical.
Emergency responders shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment. Further updates on their medical status are awaited.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to the accident. Preliminary information indicates that the tanker was engaged in watering trees along the roadside at the time of the collision.
