PM Modi, Norway Government Conduct India-Norway Trade Summit Talks

Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the India-Norway Trade and Research Summit during his Norway visit, with both countries pushing for stronger economic and green energy cooperation. The Prime Minister also referred to the implementation of the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), stating that sectors such as shipbuilding, healthcare innovation, and green technology could witness stronger Norwegian participation in India.

Ministry of External Affairs Secretary (West) Sibi George later addressed a press briefing and shared incident details from the Norway visit. He said the bilateral engagement resulted in significant progress in India-Norway relations.

According to the official statement, multiple business agreements were signed between companies from both countries. The agreements cover sectors including space technology, digital public infrastructure, sustainability, tunnelling technology, healthcare, and advanced technologies.

Officials said the green strategic partnership between India and Norway is expected to strengthen investment flows and support employment generation in emerging sectors.
