Ongole Police Probe Lodge Murder of Blind Government Employee
The Andhra Pradesh Police have launched a detailed investigation into the murder of a visually impaired government employee found dead in a lodge room in Ongole. The victim was identified as Adilakshmi, a blind employee working in the irrigation department in Ongole. Police investigation began after her husband lodged a missing complaint when she failed to return home for two days.

According to incident details shared by police, Adilakshmi had reportedly left home two days earlier and did not return. Her husband, Mallikarjun, approached the Ongole One Town Police Station and filed a complaint seeking police assistance.
Following the complaint, police teams began tracing her movements and examining available evidence. During the investigation, officials reportedly found that Adilakshmi had checked into Sri Ram Lodge near Depot Centre along with a man identified as Venkataramana.
Police immediately reached the lodge and opened the room during the search operation. Officers found Adilakshmi lying dead in a pool of blood inside the room.

Police Investigation Focuses on Absconding Suspect
Investigators suspect that the woman was murdered after her throat was slit. The shocking discovery prompted senior officials to visit the crime scene and review the investigation process.
Harshavardhan Raju personally inspected the lodge premises and later addressed the media regarding the case. In his official statement, the SP confirmed that special police teams had been formed to investigate the murder case.
Police stated that the man identified as Venkataramana, who was reportedly with the victim before the incident, is currently absconding. Search operations are underway to trace and detain him for questioning.
