Car Overturns After Hitting Power Pole in Nizamabad, Driver Escapes Safely
A car overturned in an agricultural field after losing control and crashing into an electricity pole near Veerannagutta on the outskirts of Renzal mandal in Telangana's Nizamabad district. The accident also caused the power pole to collapse, bringing live main-line electrical wires down onto the damaged vehicle.
According to initial information, the driver lost control of the car while travelling near Veerannagutta, leading to the collision with the roadside electricity pole. The impact was severe enough to break the pole, causing overhead power lines to fall directly onto the vehicle after it overturned in the nearby field.
Despite the dangerous situation created by the fallen electrical wires, the driver managed to escape from the car by breaking the vehicle's window. The quick action enabled the driver to get out before the situation could become more hazardous.
The incident prompted a response from Renzal police, who reached the accident site soon after receiving information about the crash. Officers began an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the vehicle going out of control.
The accident resulted in damage to both the vehicle and the electricity infrastructure. The fallen power lines created a potentially hazardous situation at the scene, although no additional injuries were reported in the available information.
Road accidents involving collisions with roadside utility poles can pose significant risks because damaged electrical infrastructure may expose occupants and bystanders to live power lines. Authorities typically advise the public to maintain a safe distance from vehicles that come into contact with electrical wires until power supply personnel declare the area safe.
Police are continuing their inquiry into the incident as part of the standard investigation process.
