Telangana Authorities Enforce Strict NEET Re-Exam Entry Rules

Several NEET UG re-examination centres in Telangana witnessed tense scenes on Sunday after a number of aspirants were denied entry for arriving a few minutes late. Parents pleaded with security personnel and police officers, but officials continued to enforce the examination guidelines.

The incidents have triggered discussion among students and parents over the strict implementation of reporting time rules during the NEET re-examination.

NEET Aspirants Denied Entry at Multiple Examination Centres

At a NEET re-examination centre in Keesara, Medchal district, a father was seen requesting officials to allow his daughter to enter after she reportedly reached the venue two minutes late.

According to the parent, the delay occurred because Google Maps directed them along an incorrect route. Despite repeated appeals, the student was not permitted to take the examination.

A similar situation unfolded in Jagtial district, where a mother reportedly fell at the feet of security personnel and requested them to allow her daughter to appear for the test. Officials, however, refused entry, citing examination regulations.

Hyderabad Exam Centre Also Reports Similar Incident

In Hyderabad, two female NEET aspirants were denied entry at the JNTU examination centre in KPHB after arriving a few minutes beyond the permitted reporting time.

Witnesses said the students appealed to the authorities and explained their situation. However, the officials maintained that the examination rules could not be relaxed and denied them access to the centre.

The matter quickly drew attention on social media, where videos and photographs from the centres were widely shared.

Officials Followed Examination Guidelines

As per sources, security personnel and examination authorities strictly implemented the guidelines issued for the NEET UG re-examination. Officials did not make exceptions even in cases where students reportedly arrived only one or two minutes late.

No official statement indicating any relaxation of the entry rules had been issued at the time of reporting.

Background of the NEET Re-Examination

The NEET UG re-examination was conducted following concerns raised earlier regarding the examination process. The latest update from Telangana centres has once again highlighted the pressure faced by aspirants and their families during high-stakes competitive examinations.

While parents expressed disappointment over students being denied entry for minor delays, authorities continued to enforce the prescribed rules. No case was registered in connection with the incidents, and the examination process proceeded as scheduled across the affected centres.
