Nalgonda Family Murder Case Solved; Property Dispute Allegedly Behind Killings

Police have solved the mystery surrounding the deaths of four members of a family in Telangana Colony on Sagar Road in Nalgonda district headquarters, concluding that the killings were allegedly orchestrated over a property dispute involving assets worth around ₹1 crore.

The victims were identified as Mohammed Sultan, 45, his wife Haseena, 40, their son Mujamil, 20, and daughter Aksara, 11. The four were found dead under suspicious circumstances, prompting a detailed investigation that has now uncovered what police describe as a planned murder plot.

According to investigators, Haseena’s daughter from her first marriage and her son-in-law allegedly arranged the murders by hiring a contract gang. Police said four rowdy-sheeters from Hyderabad’s Old City were involved in carrying out the attack.

Property dispute emerges as key motive

The investigation revealed that Haseena had been married twice before marrying Mohammed Sultan, a resident of Nalgonda. Sultan had also been married twice previously. The couple lived in Nalgonda along with Sultan’s children from an earlier marriage, Mujamil and Aksara.

Police said Haseena owned land and houses valued at approximately ₹1 crore. During the investigation, officers found that tensions had arisen over the future ownership of those assets.

According to police findings, Haseena had indicated that she intended to transfer her property through a will in favour of the children living with her and Sultan. Investigators believe this decision led to resentment among relatives from her earlier family, ultimately resulting in the alleged conspiracy to eliminate the family.

Authorities said evidence gathered during the probe established that Haseena’s daughter from her first marriage and her son-in-law played a central role in arranging the killings through hired assailants.

Post-mortem findings reveal brutality of attack

The post-mortem examination highlighted the severity of the violence inflicted on the victims.

Medical reports showed that Sultan sustained six stab wounds. Haseena suffered seven stab injuries, while 11-year-old Aksara was found with nine stab wounds. The most severe injuries were recorded on Mujamil, who sustained 16 stab wounds, according to investigators.

The findings reinforced police suspicions that the family was attacked with knives during a coordinated assault inside the residence.

Investigators suspect child tried to hide

One of the most disturbing aspects of the case involves the death of Aksara.

Police suspect the 11-year-old attempted to hide beneath a bed after becoming frightened by the attackers. Investigators said the position of her body — partially found under the bed — suggests she may have sought shelter there before being discovered by the assailants.

Officers believe the attackers dragged her out and killed her during the assault. The circumstances surrounding her death have become a significant part of the investigation into how the murders unfolded inside the house.

Case shocks Nalgonda

The deaths of four members of the same household had triggered widespread concern and speculation across Nalgonda after the bodies were discovered. With police now identifying a property dispute as the alleged motive and tracing the crime to a contract killing plot, the investigation has brought clarity to a case that had raised numerous questions in the community.

Authorities continue to pursue legal proceedings against those accused in connection with the murders, while the case remains one of the most shocking family crime incidents reported in the district in recent years.
