Panic gripped Badampalli village in Jannaram mandal of Mancherial district on Sunday after several buffaloes sustained severe injuries from crude explosive devices. The incident occurred near the banks of the Godavari River, where unknown poachers had allegedly planted the explosives to target wildlife.
Local cattle herders had taken their livestock to the riverbank for grazing when the animals inadvertently bit into the explosive materials. The resulting blasts caused deep tissue injuries to the mouths and jaws of several buffaloes, leaving the owners in a state of distress.
