A 22-year-old woman, identified as Chowdeswari, was killed in Macherla after she returned home following her marriage. The incident took place on the 18th, days after she was brought back by elders for discussions with family members.
Chowdeswari, a resident of Macherla, had left her house on the 4th of last month and married Nagaraju, who also belongs to the same mandal. The couple had married after being in a relationship.

After the marriage, elders intervened and brought the couple back to Macherla to resolve the matter through discussion. However, tensions reportedly continued within the family over her decision to stay with her husband.
During this period, the father was unable to accept his daughter’s decision to continue living with Nagaraju. The disagreement escalated, leading to a fatal incident inside the house.
