Karimnagar Two Town Police Bust Land Fraud Gang, Arrest Six

Fraud Network Exposed in City Investigation

Two Town Police in Karimnagar have uncovered a land grabbing racket operating across multiple areas in the city. The gang, consisting of six members, including two women, was involved in creating fake property documents and selling land illegally.

The accused have been identified as Kinnera Mallavva, Bhamandla Ravinder, Lokini Pochayya, Anumula Balayya, Lokini Aditya, son of Pochayya, and Lokini Rajavva alias Rajamma.

Modus Operandi of the Accused

Police said the group functioned as an organised network targeting vacant plots. After identifying unoccupied land, they collected details of the original owners and used forged documents to claim ownership.

Initially, the land would be registered in the name of one member of the gang. It was then repeatedly transferred among other members to create a chain of linked documents, making the ownership appear legitimate.

Using these fabricated link documents, the accused sold the plots to unsuspecting buyers and shared the proceeds among themselves.

Case Emerges From Padmanagar Transaction

The fraud came to light during an investigation into the sale of a 242 square yard plot in Padmanagar. The transaction raised suspicion, prompting a detailed probe by the police.

During the inquiry, officials found irregularities in the documentation, which led to the exposure of the larger fraud network operating in the area.

Police Action and Arrests

Based on the findings, Karimnagar Two Town Police arrested all six accused involved in the racket. The arrests include two women who were actively part of the operations.

Circle Inspector Srujan Reddy confirmed that the gang had been systematically carrying out fraudulent registrations and land sales using forged records.

Urban areas have seen a rise in land-related fraud cases involving fake documentation and illegal registrations. Police have been increasing surveillance and verification measures to curb such organised property scams.

The latest arrests highlight ongoing enforcement efforts against fraudulent land dealings in Karimnagar.
