The Hyderabad police have apprehended a minor boy following allegations of sexual assault on a 13-year-old girl in the Amberpet area. The incident, which came to light in the Golnaka locality, has led to the registration of a formal case at the Kachiguda police station.
Social Media Interaction Leads to Assault
According to the case details, the victim resides in Tulasiram Nagar, Golnaka. She reportedly came into contact with the accused, a resident of the Kachiguda-Golnaka area, through Instagram. The interaction, which began over social media reels, eventually led to an acquaintance.
Taking advantage of this friendship, the minor boy allegedly committed the sexual assault. The matter surfaced after the girl informed her parents about the ordeal, prompting them to approach the law enforcement authorities for immediate intervention.
Police Action and Judicial Custody
Upon receiving the complaint from the victim's parents, the Kachiguda police initiated a formal investigation. Officers recorded the statement of the 13-year-old girl to substantiate the allegations and documented the sequence of events leading to the crime.
Following the preliminary probe, the police registered a case against the minor boy. He was subsequently produced before the Juvenile Court. Based on the court's directives, the accused has been shifted to a juvenile correctional facility as the legal proceedings continue.
