Couple Found Dead at Home in Janwada, Five-Month-Old Child Left Behind
A young couple who had married for love were found dead at their residence in Janwada village, Rangareddy district, on Sunday morning, leaving behind a five-month-old infant. The deaths of Balasai and Padma, both of whom reportedly died by suicide, have shocked the local community and prompted a police investigation.
Family members discovered the couple hanging inside their home and immediately alerted authorities. Officers from Mokila Police Station arrived at the scene, conducted a panchanama — a formal inspection and documentation procedure — and arranged for the bodies to be sent for post-mortem examination.
A Family in Its Early Years
Balasai and Padma had met and fallen in love before convincing their respective families to approve their union. They married approximately a year and a half ago. Their son was born five months ago, and by all accounts the family had appeared to be settling into a life together.
The circumstances that led the couple to take this step remain unclear. Police have not ruled out any cause and are examining multiple possibilities, including domestic disputes, financial difficulties, or other personal pressures. Investigators are currently questioning family members, relatives, and close acquaintances in an effort to establish what happened in the days leading up to Sunday.
Investigation Ongoing
The Mokila Police have registered a case and are pursuing all available leads. No suicide note has been reported at this stage, and authorities have not publicly named a primary cause.
The couple's infant, too young to understand what has occurred, now faces an uncertain future. Extended family members are expected to take responsibility for the child's care as the police inquiry continues.
The incident has cast a heavy shadow over Janwada, with residents expressing grief over the loss of two young lives and concern for the welfare of the child left behind.
