Hyderabad Police Officer Arrested in Anti-Corruption Operation
An anti-corruption operation in Hyderabad resulted in the arrest of a police officer. The officer, a Sub-Inspector was assigned to the Gandhi Nagar police station. He was caught while taking a bribe on Tuesday evening according to police officials.
Demand for Station Bail Bribe
The officer, identified as SI V. Narsimhulu demanded money from a man involved in a police case.
The man had asked the officer for station bail and a guarantee that he would not be harassed further.
In return Narsimhulu demanded a bribe of ₹1 lakh.

Complainant Approaches Anti-Corruption Bureau
The man did not want to pay the bribe. So he approached the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Hyderabad City Range-1.
The ACB organized a trap to catch the officer during the bribe exchange.
ACB Traps Officer Red-Handed
On Tuesday evening Narsimhulu took ₹50,000 as the part of the demanded amount.
ACB officials then caught him with the marked currency. Took him into custody.
Legal Action and Court Presentation
The ACB registered a case against the Sub-Inspector after his arrest.
The bribe money was taken as evidence.
Narsimhulu was then taken to the Nampalli court for proceedings.
