Hyderabad Police arrest a woman for stealing luxury watches in Jubilee Hills

Theft reported at upscale showroom

A theft case has come to light in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, where a young woman allegedly stole expensive wristwatches from a prominent showroom. The incident took place at Ramesh Watch Co, a well-known outlet in the area.

According to available details, the accused is a 26-year-old woman from Khammam district. She reportedly arrived at the showroom along with her boyfriend in a car.

Modus operandi inside showroom

Police said the woman left her boyfriend in the car and entered the store alone, posing as a customer. She engaged the sales staff in conversation to divert their attention.

During this time, she allegedly slipped two Tissot watches, valued at around Rs 2 lakh, into her handbag. She then exited the showroom without raising suspicion.

Complaint and CCTV investigation

The showroom staff later noticed the missing watches and lodged a complaint with the police. Based on the complaint, a case was registered and an investigation was initiated.

Police examined CCTV footage from the showroom, which captured the woman’s movements inside the store. The footage also helped identify the vehicle used by the accused.

Arrest in Khammam

Using the car registration details, police traced the accused to Khammam district. She was subsequently located and taken into custody.

Officials said the case was cracked based on technical evidence and surveillance inputs. Further investigation is underway in connection with the incident.
