A woman has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of her husband in Hyderabad's Miyapur area after a months-long police investigation into a missing person complaint uncovered evidence of the killing. The case came to light after the woman reported her husband missing in November last year. Miyapur police initially registered the complaint as a missing person case and began an investigation. As the inquiry progressed, investigators examined call detail records and CCTV footage, which eventually led them to suspect the complainant herself.
According to police, the investigation revealed that the woman and her alleged lover had planned and carried out the murder. Authorities said the victim's body was transported to an area near the Maharashtra border and buried in an apparent effort to conceal the crime.
With assistance from local police in the area where the body was allegedly buried, investigators later recovered the remains. Police identified the deceased as Pentesh, 45.
