Focus Keyword: Hyderabad murder case

A woman has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of her husband in Hyderabad's Miyapur area after a months-long police investigation into a missing person complaint uncovered evidence of the killing. Police said the woman allegedly murdered her husband with the help of her alleged lover, disposed of the body near the Maharashtra border, and later filed a missing complaint in an attempt to mislead investigators.

The case came to light after the woman reported her husband missing in November last year. Miyapur police initially registered the complaint as a missing person case and began an investigation. As the inquiry progressed, investigators examined call detail records and CCTV footage, which eventually led them to suspect the complainant herself.

According to police, the investigation revealed that the woman and her alleged lover had planned and carried out the murder. Authorities said the victim's body was transported to an area near the Maharashtra border and buried in an apparent effort to conceal the crime.

With assistance from local police in the area where the body was allegedly buried, investigators later recovered the remains. Police identified the deceased as Pentesh, 45.

Investigation Uncovered Alleged Conspiracy

Police said digital evidence, including call records and surveillance footage, played a significant role in uncovering the sequence of events. The investigation shifted focus after inconsistencies emerged during the inquiry into the missing person's complaint.

During questioning, the accused woman allegedly admitted that she killed her husband because she viewed him as an obstacle to her relationship with her alleged lover, according to police.

Following the developments in the investigation, police took the woman into custody. Efforts are continuing to locate and arrest the alleged co-accused, who remains absconding.

Body Recovered After Seven-Month Investigation

The investigation took nearly seven months from the time the missing complaint was filed to the recovery of the victim's body and the identification of the accused. Police said coordination with authorities near the Maharashtra border was crucial in locating and exhuming the remains.

The case highlights how investigations into missing person reports can evolve into criminal probes as new evidence emerges. Police have not disclosed further details regarding the exact location where the body was buried or the circumstances surrounding the killing beyond the findings revealed during the investigation.

The alleged murder has drawn significant attention in Miyapur and other parts of Hyderabad due to the nature of the case and the lengthy investigation that led to the arrest. Police said the search for the woman's alleged lover is ongoing, and further legal proceedings will continue as the investigation progresses.
