She alleged that he repeatedly followed her, sent objectionable messages to her WhatsApp number, and used offensive language in Telugu in front of other trainees with the intention of insulting her. She claimed that on July 8, the accused forcibly took her to his room, threatened her, and obtained her phone password. She further alleged that on the night of July 9, he pulled her by the hair into his room, tried to choke her, and threatened her with a knife placed near her neck. According to the complaint, on July 10, he allegedly behaved in an inappropriate manner, recorded her private videos, and threatened to send them to her husband. Police said these allegations are part of the complaint filed by the woman trainee. The claims are under investigation, and the allegations have not been established in court. During the preliminary investigation, police also found allegations that the accused had behaved inappropriately with others at the academy and had created WhatsApp groups to circulate objectionable messages, causing distress to some trainees. He joined the police department as a constable in 2013 and served until 2018. After resigning from his job, he prepared for the UPSC Civil Services Examination. He cleared the examination on his fifth attempt with an All India Rank of 360 and joined IPS training. The allegations against him have attracted attention because of his widely known journey from constable to IPS trainee.
