Hyderabad Police Probe Hostel Dispute Allegations Against Bontu Rammohan
A property dispute involving hostel operators in Hyderabad’s Ameerpet area has triggered serious allegations against Congress leader Bontu Rammohan and his family members. The latest update comes after hostel management accused the former public representative of harassment, intimidation, and pressure to vacate a rented building despite allegedly paying a large advance amount.
The incident details have sparked political discussion in Hyderabad after hostel operators publicly appealed to Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy seeking protection and intervention. The operators alleged that they were facing threats to their safety and financial losses linked to the ongoing dispute.
Hostel Operators Allege Harassment In Ameerpet Property Dispute
According to the allegations made by the hostel management, the building in Ameerpet was rented after an advance payment of nearly Rs. 2 crore was made to the property owners. The operators claimed that after accepting the advance amount, demands were suddenly made to vacate the premises.
The hostel management further alleged that they were subjected to physical intimidation and repeated pressure by individuals linked to Bontu Rammohan’s family. They claimed that attempts were being made to forcibly evict them from the property.
One of the major allegations involves an incident in which a woman associated with the hostel management was reportedly assaulted in the presence of police personnel. The operators alleged that a family member of Bontu Rammohan physically attacked the hostel administrator during the confrontation.
Calls For Police Investigation And Government Intervention
The hostel operators also alleged that false cases were being threatened against them and that police personnel were being used to create fear among staff and residents. They claimed that repeated visits and pressure tactics had created panic inside the hostel premises.
In their appeal, the management requested immediate intervention from the Telangana government and demanded protection from alleged threats. They also urged authorities to conduct a proper police investigation into the matter.
The operators further alleged that a group of individuals had occupied sections of the hostel premises and were intimidating workers and students staying in the building. The claims have now gained wider attention across local political and social circles.
No Official Statement Issued Yet
At the time of reporting, no official statement had been released by Bontu Rammohan or his family members regarding the allegations made by the hostel operators. There was also no confirmation regarding any case registered in connection with the incident.
The dispute has once again highlighted concerns over property conflicts and tenant-owner disagreements in Hyderabad’s commercial localities. Ameerpet remains one of the city’s busiest educational and hostel hubs, with several private accommodations operating in the area.
As the allegations continue to circulate publicly, attention is now focused on whether authorities will initiate formal action or issue clarification regarding the claims raised by the hostel management.
