Hyderabad Police Probe Complaint After Woman Alleges Husband's Extramarital Relationship

Hyderabad extramarital relationship case has drawn attention after a woman alleged that her husband had been involved in a long-term relationship with the family's domestic worker and handed him over to police following a confrontation in Uppal.

The incident occurred in Kurmanagar under the Uppal police station limits in Hyderabad on July 9. According to the complaint filed by the woman, she, along with relatives, confronted her husband after receiving information that he was with the domestic worker at a house in the locality. Police later intervened, took both individuals to the police station, and registered a case based on the complaint.

According to the complainant, Kumari, 38, and Shiva, 50, are natives of Anakapalli and married in 2004 after a love marriage. The couple have two children—a daughter and a son. She stated that their family life was initially stable before disputes arose over her husband's alleged relationship with Lakshmi, who had been employed as a domestic worker in their home.

Kumari alleged that the relationship between her husband and the domestic worker developed after Lakshmi began working in their household. She claimed that the issue repeatedly led to disagreements between the couple and that they had been living separately for the past five years.

Despite living apart, Kumari alleged that her husband continued the relationship. Acting on information received on the night of the incident, she and several relatives went to a house in Kurmanagar where, she claimed, Shiva and Lakshmi were together.

The confrontation escalated at the scene. Local residents reportedly said that angry relatives assaulted Shiva before police arrived. Officers from Uppal police station responded to the incident, brought the situation under control, and shifted both Shiva and Lakshmi to the police station.

Police register case

Kumari submitted a formal complaint seeking justice for herself and her children. Based on her complaint, Uppal police registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.

Authorities have not publicly disclosed further details regarding the nature of the case or any legal action taken against those involved. The investigation is ongoing.

Videos circulate online

Videos purportedly related to the incident have circulated widely on social media following the confrontation, drawing public attention to the case.

Police have not commented on the authenticity or contents of the viral videos. The investigation is expected to determine the facts surrounding the complaint and the events that unfolded at the residence in Kurmanagar.

While allegations of extramarital relationships may lead to civil or family disputes, police investigations generally focus on whether any cognizable offences, including assault or other alleged violations of law, occurred during such incidents.
