HYDERABAD — A 51-year-old car driver allegedly died by suicide in the early hours of Sunday at Bharat Nagar Lambagundu, falling under the jurisdiction of the Borabanda Police Station. The deceased, identified as Shaik Mujibur Rahman, was reportedly suffering from severe anxiety regarding his exclusion from an administrative list, fearing potential legal repercussions.

According to statements from family members and the local police, Rahman had grown increasingly distressed after discovering that his name was omitted from the "SIR" (Survey/Record) list. He reportedly expressed intense anxiety to his family that the omission could lead to his imprisonment, raising deeply emotional concerns about who would care for his three children if he were detained.

Despite attempts by his wife, Ismail Bee, to reassure and comfort him on Saturday night, Rahman remained deeply troubled by the situation. In the early hours of Sunday, he took his own life by hanging from an iron rod in a shed located outside his residence.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Borabanda police arrived at the spot and shifted the body to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.

The police have registered a case regarding the suspicious death and have initiated a comprehensive investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances and administrative context that led to the victim's severe distress.
