Hayathnagar Police Register Suicide Case After Youth Dies in Koheda

A suspected suicide case involving a young man from Koheda village under the limits of Hayathnagar Police Station has triggered a police investigation after allegations emerged that he was emotionally distressed over a failed relationship. The latest update in the case has also raised questions over the whereabouts of a child reportedly born to the couple.

According to incident details shared by police, the deceased, identified as Govardhan, had allegedly been in a relationship with a woman named Saritha for the last four years. The couple had reportedly married without informing their families and later had a child together.

Police Investigation Into Youth Suicide Case

Police said Saritha had recently decided to marry another person. Family members of the deceased alleged that the woman had refused to return despite repeated requests made by Govardhan. Officials also stated that the child born to the couple was allegedly sold, though the child’s whereabouts are still unknown.

The suicide incident was reported from Koheda village in Hyderabad’s Hayathnagar area. Govardhan, who was working night duty, reportedly returned home around 10:30 am on Wednesday after completing his shift.

Family members said he did not come out of his room till evening. His sister later broke open the door after repeated calls went unanswered and found him dead by suicide inside the house.

Video Recording Emerges Before Suicide

During the police investigation, officials reportedly recovered a video recorded on a mobile phone by the deceased. In the video, Govardhan allegedly blamed the woman for his extreme step and appealed that action be taken against her.

Police have not officially disclosed the complete contents of the recording. However, officials confirmed that the video has been taken into evidence as part of the case registered by the Hayathnagar police.

An official statement from investigators said further inquiry is underway to verify all allegations made by the family members. Police are also trying to trace the missing child mentioned in the complaint.

Case Registered by Hayathnagar Police

Based on a complaint lodged by Govardhan’s family, police have registered a case and initiated further investigation. Authorities said statements from family members and others connected to the case are being recorded.

The latest update from police indicates that multiple aspects of the matter, including the alleged secret marriage, the child’s status, and the circumstances leading to the suicide, are under verification.

Officials have urged the public not to circulate unverified claims related to the case while the investigation continues.
