Accused Held After Multiple Complaints

Jubilee Hills police have arrested a 23-year-old young man from Guntur district for allegedly cheating and exploiting minor girls under the pretext of love. The accused has been identified as Koduri Chandrasekhar Azad alias Arjun.

The arrest was made on Sunday following complaints from victims. Police said the accused targeted minor girls and young women over a period of two years across Telugu states.

Modus Operandi Involving Social Media and Surveillance

According to the investigation, the accused used social media platforms to identify girls from financially well-off families. He reportedly initiated conversations, gained their trust, and projected a wealthy lifestyle by sharing photos from expensive cars and pubs.

In addition, he is said to have collected personal information by befriending watchmen and gardeners working at affluent households in Hyderabad and surrounding areas. Using this information, he approached the victims directly.

Blackmail Using Photos and Videos

After establishing contact, the accused allegedly lured victims into meetings and took photos and videos without their knowledge. He then used these materials to threaten them and extort money.

Police said several victims, fearing exposure, handed over cash and valuables. In some cases, minor girls and young women reportedly took money and gold ornaments from their homes to meet his demands.

Case Involving Minor Girl in Jubilee Hills

In one instance, a 15-year-old girl from a wealthy family in Jubilee Hills was approached by the accused through Instagram under the name Arjun. He later met her at her residence during night hours.

Following a complaint by the girl’s mother, police registered a case under the POCSO Act and sent him to jail. After his release, he allegedly reconnected with the same girl.

The investigation revealed that the girl remained in contact with him using mobile phones belonging to the house driver Krishna and his wife Saraswati. The accused later met her again when the family was not at home.

Financial Exploitation and Involvement of Others

During the course of events, the driver’s wife Saraswati is alleged to have threatened the girl, claiming she would inform her parents. She reportedly extorted money from the minor.

Family members stated in the complaint that the girl took Rs.29 lakh kept at home. Out of this, Rs.13 lakh was given to the accused and Rs.10 lakh to Saraswati.

Other Victims Identified During Probe

Police said another young woman from Narsingi was also cheated by the accused. She was reportedly taken to a hotel room in Guntur under the pretext of college admission.

He later maintained contact with her in Guntur and Hyderabad, taking her to pubs and hotels. The accused allegedly used photos and videos from these meetings to threaten her and took a gold chain from her.

Investigation Underway

Police have registered cases and are continuing the investigation to identify more victims and establish the full extent of the offences. Officials are examining digital evidence and financial transactions linked to the accused.

Cases involving exploitation through social media have seen a rise, with offenders using online platforms to target vulnerable individuals. Police have urged families to remain vigilant and report suspicious interactions promptly.
