Child Succumbs To Injuries After Fortnight Of Medical Treatment
A young boy from the Thangallapalli mandal headquarters in Rajanna Sircilla district has passed away following a violent attack by stray dogs. The victim, identified as Aditya, was the son of a local couple, Mahesh and Sangeetha. The incident occurred while the child was playing in front of his residence.
According to reports, a pack of stray dogs launched a sudden assault on the boy, causing severe injuries to his leg. In a desperate attempt to escape the animals, Aditya fell to the ground, resulting in a critical head injury. The impact of the fall proved to be more damaging than the initial bites.
Family Exhausts Savings For Treatment In Hyderabad
Following the attack, the family shifted Aditya to a private hospital in Hyderabad for specialized neurological and trauma care. He remained under medical supervision for 15 days, battling for his life as doctors attempted to treat the internal head trauma.
The parents expressed profound grief, stating that they spent approximately Rs 10 lakh on medical expenses in an effort to save their son. Despite the extensive clinical intervention and financial expenditure, the boy succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.

The incident has sparked fresh concerns regarding the safety of residents in the Thangallapalli mandal and surrounding areas of Rajanna Sircilla. Local authorities are under pressure to address the growing stray dog population, which has become a significant threat to school-going children and the elderly.
While municipal and panchayat officials are tasked with animal birth control measures, residents allege that the implementation remains inconsistent. The district administration is expected to review safety protocols and sterilization programs in the wake of this fatality to prevent similar occurrences.
