Actor Bobby Deol has revealed how a phone call from Salman Khan changed the course of his career at a time when he felt disconnected from younger audiences. Speaking during a recent interview, Bobby Deol said the offer to join Race 3 came when he believed the younger generation had largely forgotten him.

The actor admitted that there was a phase in his career when younger audiences no longer connected with him. According to Bobby, appearing in Race 3 became an opportunity to regain visibility and reintroduce himself to a new generation of movie viewers.
He described Salman Khan as supportive during that period and said the actor first encouraged him to listen to the story before making a decision. Bobby added that the project carried emotional and professional significance because of the situation he was facing at the time.

Released in 2018, Race 3 featured a multi-star cast including Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem alongside Salman Khan and Bobby Deol.
Following the film, Bobby Deol’s career witnessed a noticeable turnaround. He later gained appreciation for his lead role in Aashram directed by Prakash Jha.
Another major breakthrough came after his brief but impactful appearance in Animal directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Despite limited screen time, Bobby’s antagonist role received strong audience attention and significantly boosted his popularity on social media and digital platforms.
