Bengaluru Police Probe Six-Year-Old Child Death Case, Partner Held

A six-year-old child death case has come under police investigation in Bengaluru after a complaint raised questions over the circumstances surrounding the incident. The latest update has drawn attention after authorities registered a case and began examining medical records and other evidence.

According to the complaint, Praveen and Priyanka, originally from Davanagere, were married around 17 years ago and have two children, a 15-year-old son and a six-year-old daughter.

Child Death Case Under Police Investigation

While the family was living in Kadugodi, Priyanka reportedly reconnected with her childhood friend Mohan. Investigators said the two became close, and the relationship allegedly continued for nearly two years.

The complaint states that family disputes followed after the matter came to light. It is alleged that Priyanka later started living separately with Mohan, while her son remained with his father.

Complaint Raises Questions Over Medical Report

According to the incident details, about three months ago, Praveen was informed over the phone that his daughter had passed away. He was also provided with a post-mortem report issued by a hospital.

The complaint further states that Praveen shared the report with a doctor friend who was staying abroad. After reviewing the document, the doctor reportedly pointed out several irregularities and expressed doubts about the findings mentioned in the report.

Police Register Case and Continue Inquiry

Based on these concerns, Praveen approached the Kadugodi Police Station and lodged a complaint. Police registered a case and launched a detailed investigation into the matter.

Officials said Mohan has been taken into custody as part of the inquiry, while efforts are continuing to trace Priyanka, who is reportedly not available for questioning.

Hospital Also Faces Legal Action

Authorities have also initiated legal action related to the medical report issued in the case. The police investigation is expected to examine all available records and statements before further action is taken.

The six-year-old child death case remains under investigation, and officials have not announced any final conclusions. Further developments are expected after the completion of the inquiry and forensic examination.
