Bachupally Police Arrest Husband in Bhargavi Murder Case After Probe
A Bhargavi murder case in Hyderabad's Bachupally area has taken a new turn after police concluded that the woman's death was not a suicide but a murder allegedly committed by her husband. The accused has now been arrested after the police investigation uncovered the sequence of events.
What initially appeared to be an unnatural death turned into a murder investigation after officers examined the available evidence and questioned the accused.
Bhargavi Murder Case Uncovered During Police Investigation
According to Bachupally police, the accused, identified as Balakrishna, a native of Andhra Pradesh, frequently consumed alcohol and often quarrelled with his wife, Bhargavi, aged 35.
As per officials, another argument broke out between the couple on June 20. During the altercation, Balakrishna allegedly strangled Bhargavi and repeatedly hit her head against a wall, resulting in her death.
Police said the accused later attempted to portray the incident as a suicide. He allegedly tied a saree around Bhargavi's neck and suspended the body from a ceiling fan to mislead investigators.
Police Register Murder Case After Confession
The matter came to light after police registered an unnatural death case and launched a detailed investigation into the incident details.
During questioning, Balakrishna allegedly confessed to the crime. Based on the findings, the police converted the case into a murder case, registered relevant charges, and arrested the accused.
Officials said further legal proceedings are being carried out as part of the investigation.
