Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Board Counsels Student Over Desperate Plea To Pass Exams
Student Calls Board Headquarters Ahead Of Results
In an unusual incident reported ahead of the declaration of the Andhra Pradesh Intermediate results, a second-year student contacted the Board of Intermediate Education (BIEAP) officials with a desperate request. The student requested the authorities to ensure his success in the examinations, admitting to significant lapses in his performance.
During the telephonic conversation, the student disclosed that he had not prepared for the exams and had resorted to writing the questions multiple times on his answer sheets. He further informed the officials that he had placed cash inside the answer scripts in an attempt to influence the evaluation process.

Academic Record And Failure In Multiple Subjects
Following the call, board officials verified the student’s academic credentials. The records indicated that the candidate had failed in two subjects during his first year and three subjects in the second year. Despite his efforts to secure passing marks through non-academic means, the evaluation followed standard protocols.
The incident highlights the growing academic pressure on students during the Intermediate board examinations. The BIEAP maintains a strict monitoring system to prevent malpractice, including the use of monetary inducements in answer booklets, which are typically flagged during the spot valuation process.
Board Initiates Counselling For Student And Family
Rather than taking immediate punitive action, the Intermediate Board officials chose to counsel the student. They informed him about the upcoming Advanced Supplementary examinations, encouraging him to focus on his studies to clear the backlogs.
The officials also established contact with the student's parents to discuss his mental state and academic performance. The parents assured the board that their son was safe at home and committed to monitoring his well-being while assisting him with his future preparation for the supplementary tests.
