Andhra Pradesh Government Orders All Services Online Rollout by December
The Andhra Pradesh government has directed that all public services be brought online by December, in a major governance push led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The latest update highlights a statewide plan to digitise service delivery and reduce citizen dependence on physical government offices.
In a review meeting of the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS), the Chief Minister emphasised the expansion of digital platforms, particularly ‘WhatsApp Governance’, as part of the Mana Mitra initiative. The move is positioned as a step to improve accessibility and streamline administrative processes.
Andhra Pradesh Online Services Plan Gains Momentum
Officials informed the Chief Minister that 1,035 services are currently being delivered through WhatsApp Governance. These services have reached over 54 lakh citizens, with a total of 1.78 crore transactions recorded so far.
The government has also conducted awareness programmes for more than 24 lakh people to improve access to online services. The Andhra Pradesh online services initiative is expected to expand further in the coming months as part of the December deadline.
The Chief Minister reiterated that citizens should no longer be required to visit multiple offices for basic services. The emphasis remains on convenience, faster processing, and transparency in delivery.

Expansion of WhatsApp Governance and RTGS Integration
During the meeting, officials provided incident details on the integration of various platforms under RTGS. The Chief Minister directed that satellite data be linked with RTGS systems to enable real-time monitoring and quicker administrative response.
He noted that such integration would help authorities respond effectively during emergencies. Referring to the recent forest fire in the Seshachalam hills, he stated that better data linkage could improve response time.
There was no police investigation or case registered in relation to the digital rollout, as the initiative is part of administrative reforms. However, officials confirmed that implementation is being closely monitored at the state level.
Infrastructure Projects and Drone City Development
Apart from digital governance, the meeting reviewed infrastructure projects, including the proposed Drone City in Kurnool district. Officials stated that Phase-1 development is progressing, with land already allocated to eight companies.
Ground-level work is expected to begin by the second week of May. The Chief Minister directed that Phase-1 works be completed by July, indicating a tight timeline for project execution.
The Drone City initiative is seen as part of broader efforts to integrate technology into governance and economic development in Andhra Pradesh.
Public Safety Measures and Surveillance Expansion
The government also reviewed public safety infrastructure, noting that Andhra Pradesh has an extensive CCTV surveillance network. Officials said the system has been instrumental in crime control, tracking missing persons, and solving vehicle theft cases.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to integrate privately installed CCTV cameras in areas lacking coverage. Awareness campaigns are also planned to encourage wider use of surveillance systems.
