The Andhra Pradesh government approves a temporary ticket price hike and special screenings for the upcoming Ram Charan starrer movie 'Peddi'. An official statement issued by the state home department confirmed the financial and screening relaxations permitted for the theatrical release.
This decision follows an official representation submitted by the executive producer of Vriddhi Cinemas requesting theatrical relief. According to the latest update, the state administration has granted these special permissions to accommodate the high production values of the project.
Andhra Pradesh Government Approves Peddi Movie Ticket Price Hike
As per the official notification, single-screen theatres across Andhra Pradesh can increase ticket rates by Rs 100 per ticket. For multiplexes, the government has permitted an upward revision of Rs 125 per ticket above standard rates.
The enhanced ticket pricing structure will remain valid for a duration of 10 days from the date of the film's theatrical launch. Movie enthusiasts tracking the incident details will see these modified rates reflected across all digital booking platforms and offline counters.
Furthermore, the state authorities have sanctioned the screening of 5 shows per day instead of the standard 4-show limit. This additional slot is expected to manage the anticipated initial rush during the opening week of the theatrical run.
Special Premiere Screenings and Financial Guidelines
The home department has also greenlit a special premiere show scheduled for the evening before the worldwide release. The administrative order sets the maximum ticket price for this exclusive premiere screening at Rs 600, inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Local municipal administrations and theatre management boards have been instructed to ensure strict compliance with the pricing caps. No case registered or police investigation involving black marketing will be tolerated near cinema halls during the specified timeline.
The upcoming film features Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles, directed by Buchi Babu Sana with music by AR Rahman. This policy intervention aligns with previous executive decisions where the Andhra Pradesh government approves necessary pricing adjustments for high-budget regional cinema.
