Allu Arjun plans multi-film schedule with Atlee, Lokesh Kanagaraj
Mumbai shoot for ‘RAAKA’ underway
Actor Allu Arjun is currently engaged in the shooting of his upcoming film ‘RAAKA’, directed by Atlee. The production is progressing in Mumbai, with the actor’s portions scheduled to be completed by August.
The film is expected to hit theatres by the end of 2027. The project marks a significant collaboration, drawing attention due to Atlee’s recent commercial success and Allu Arjun’s strong pan-India presence.
Next project with Lokesh Kanagaraj lined up
Following the completion of ‘RAAKA’, Allu Arjun is set to move on to his next film, tentatively titled ‘AA23’. The project will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
The shooting for ‘AA23’ is likely to begin either in December this year or January 2027. As per the current plan, the film is targeting a release window around mid-2028, indicating a tightly scheduled production timeline.
Basil Joseph's project under consideration
In addition to these confirmed projects, discussions are ongoing for a potential collaboration with Malayalam director Basil Joseph. The project is currently in the scripting stage.
Allu Arjun has reportedly suggested certain changes to the script. The decision to proceed will depend on his satisfaction with the revised version. If the script meets expectations, the film will move forward with him in the lead.
However, if the changes do not align with his vision, production house Geetha Arts may consider developing the project with another actor instead.
Packed schedule reflects long-term planning
The lineup indicates a structured approach to Allu Arjun’s upcoming films, with projects spanning multiple years. With back-to-back collaborations involving established directors, the actor appears to be focusing on maintaining continuity in large-scale productions.
This slate also highlights a mix of confirmed commitments and conditional projects, depending on script development and production readiness.
