Woman, Lover and Accomplice Arrested in Agra Murder Case
Agra police have arrested three persons, including a woman, for the murder of her husband Lokendra. The incident came to light after a half-burnt body was discovered in Saiyan area on April 1.
Body Identified Through Tattoo
Local residents informed police after spotting the charred remains. The victim’s face was unrecognisable, but investigators identified him as Lokendra based on a tattoo on his arm. His brother later lodged a missing complaint, stating Lokendra was last seen with Mahesh Prajapati.
Police Investigation and Evidence Collection
Five police teams were formed to crack the case. CCTV footage from the area was examined, and liquor bottles and paper scraps found near the crime scene were seized. Investigators traced the liquor purchase using QR codes and linked the paper scraps to a fruit vendor’s packaging. This helped police narrow down suspects.

Arrests and Confession
Lokendra’s wife, Mahesh Prajapati, and his associate Dharmveer were taken into custody. During questioning, police learned that Lokendra’s wife and Mahesh had been in a long-term extramarital relationship. When Lokendra confronted his wife, she and Mahesh conspired to eliminate him.
Murder Execution
On April 1, Lokendra’s wife informed Mahesh when her husband left home. Mahesh and Dharmveer met Lokendra, invited him to drink, and later strangled him. They poured petrol on his unconscious body, covered it with hay, and set it ablaze.
Legal Action
Police confirmed that sufficient evidence was collected to establish the crime. The three accused were produced before court and remanded to judicial custody.
